This is to advertise position to work on the Coalition of Epidemics Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) Lassa Fever Epidemiologic Study in Nigeria. The positions will operate from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Open to: All Interested Candidates

Duration of contract: Two years

Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for documentation of project activities, reports, analyses, achievements etc

• Leads on the implementation of the monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) function for the CEPI project including monitoring progress towards achievement of objectives.

• Provides technical input into implementation of the project across the project sites

• Provides technical assistance to project staff at sites on reporting, updates and to implement monitoring and evaluation of their programs and activities.

• Supports implementation, analysis and reporting for the CEPI project

• Supports the development of M&E data collection tools, indicators, definitions, targets and training field staff on usage.

• Enters and manages M&E data, generate findings/results and translate these into actionable recommendations.

• Provides regular updates to project team on key performance indicators

• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation system for all project data and reports

• Conducts internal data quality audits for quality assurance purposes.

• Performs any other assignments that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications Required

• A first degree in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine or any Science based field and a Masters' Degree in Public Health or relevant discipline

• Desirable: Certificate in project management and M&E.

• Desirable: Certificate in Management and or Administration

• Desirable: Experience of Post Graduate practice in project management and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation activities in Public Health related organizations and institutions.

• Knowledge of major evaluation methodologies and experience in analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.

• A Minimum of 2 years experience in project management is required

• Knowledge and skills in project management, monitoring and evaluation methodology, including ability to develop/interpret a logic model and an evaluation plan

• Ability to use project management tools effectively

• Skills in developing M&E indicators and data collection plans for research or applied evaluation projects.

• Skills in conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical and/or qualitative software packages.

• Excellent written and oral communication, including presentation skills.

• Experience in report writing and PowerPoint presentations

• Ability to organize and communicate with staff from many organizations

• Performs any other assignments that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
